In 2012, the LEF Foundation celebrated 10 years of its MOVING IMAGE FUND. To honor this milestone in the Foundation’s history, LEF gathered the community of filmmakers funded over the last ten years to toast one other and reflect on this body of work.

At this event, 4 filmmaker pairs were asked to view each other’s work and select a scene that intrigued them most in their colleague’s film. This peer-to-peer exchange led to discussions that were full of inspiration and addressed aesthetics and technique, as well as ethics involved in filmmaking.
We’ve captured these conversations with edited transcripts, photos and film clips, and hope to add to this archive with more dialogues in the future.
