When I was at film school, they called it killing your children
(gruesome!). At the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, they chose
puppies as the target which is somehow both sweeter and more sinister.
As a Salt alum, I remember with great fondness the picture of 3 puppies
with targets on their heads reminding us that our most precious tape was
likely the least necessary to the forward progress of the narrative.
