Film Synopsis
(Formerly
Preparations for the Forest) Through an intimate and experimental exploration of the lives of a missionary doctor, an antiquities collector, and a taxidermist, the film examines the interaction of the “machine world” and the natural environment and our personal connections to the spiritual.
About the Director(s)
Daniel Mooney is a film-maker, editor, and designer. He has previous work as an editor includes Standard Operating Procedure, Whitey Bulger; The Making of a Monster, and The Confessions of the Boston Strangler. His work as a designer includes two books by Errol Morris; Seeing is Believing and A Wilderness of Error. Born in Lawrence Massachusetts, Mr. Mooney now lives with his wife, two children, and their adopted cat Pippin in Melrose Massachusetts. He currently teaches motion picture editing at Brandeis University and Boston University.
